ODI Belfast is a Learning and Networking Node which aims to contribute to the local and regional development of open data, ensuring open data for everyone. It will do this through developing and delivering training to build capabilities, by connecting people and businesses through membership and events, and by communicating open data stories and case studies.
Nodes are part of the global network of the ODI (based in London). Nodes are now present on all continents (apart from Antartica), and come from a range of business, non-profit and academic organisations.
ODI Belfast is based at the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA). We will be directly involved in local projects, research, networking and training to ensure the progression and benefits of open data are made real for Northern Ireland.
